Issue 1
Welcome to HOLMM’s first issue of the Journal, a platform that we hope you will find to be a delightful collection of readings about design and culture, as well as, added dialogue about motherhood and childhood. Onwards we are thrilled to include interviews and photographs from selected contributors who we admire. The Journal will share insights from HOLMM’s Copenhagen office as well as the highlights and inspiration for each seasons collection. Our hope is that you will enjoy the Journal as much as we have enjoyed putting it all together.
The first issue celebrates the launch of HOLMM. and an introduction to the Owner and Creative Director behind the brand, Marie-Louise Fischer.
HOLMM. is Copenhagen based and where we design and create all our products
HOLMM. was established in 2017 by Marie-Louise Fischer, who wanted to create nothing less than the best for children. A classic brand that could be worn everyday and which was so comfortable and so high quality that it could be inherited again and again. A brand that was classic and accessible to many, however understood current fashion trends without being the type of brand that one would buy and throw out after only a few seasons. Marie-Louise Fischer’s vision also included high standards, not only for the garments produced, but the sustainability of the materials sourced.
“When we design a product, we do everything we can to produce it as sustainably as possible. We work hard to make all our products organic or GOTS certified. We love natural materials!” - Marie-Louise Fischer, Owner and Creative Director behind HOLMM. says. This means that if there is a natural alternative to synthetic materials for trimming and applications, then of course HOLMM. will use it. All our buttons are for example either made from mother of pearl, coconut or wood. When a natural alternative is not possible in example push buttons and zippers then HOLMM. ensure that they do not contain nickel and that they are YKK approved.

All garments are made in soft, natural materials, creating an infinite game of mix and match. HOLMM. allows children to be beautiful and playful, comfortable and stylish, allowing them to be comfortable and joyful wherever they are. Be it summer or winter, playtime or bedtime as the sun and moon cast their rays on the spirit of their childhood.
HOLMM. is Copenhagen based and where we design and create all our products. It is also here that we have grown up and that we found our love for the natural, classic and unpolished.
The name Holm is an old family name from Marie-Louise´s family and she made the name more personal by adding an M for Marie-Louise and then the brand became HOLMM.
HOLMM. launched with the first Autumn / Winter 2018 collection and is designed with an informal approach to elegance. You find craftsmanship merged with Scandinavian simplicity, to create high quality designs with lasting appeal. It is obvious to see her love for exquisite natural materials, high quality and comfort. This first collection shows the expressions of the HOLMM. brand and Marie-Louise’s desire to create beautiful designs and classic styles.
