Caring for Your HOLMM. Garments

Taking care of your garments is essential for their longevity. The good news is that natural wool fibers are self-cleaning, so simply airing your HOLMM. wool garments is often enough to refresh them. However, there are additional steps you can take to clean and maintain your new items, ensuring they stay in excellent condition for years to come.

Care and Wash Instructions

Wool fibers are sensitive to high temperatures and sudden water temperature changes. Use a gentle 30-degree wool cycle on your washing machine instead of hand washing. Machines provide a stable temperature, light spinning, and prevent soaking, making this method gentler and more consistent. For cotton products, wash at a maximum of 40 degrees.

Use designated delicate or wool detergent, avoiding biological/enzyme-based detergents, softeners, bleach, or soap with bleach.

Never use a dryer or iron on your HOLMM. items. High temperatures will damage the fibers. Air drying is best, as it preserves the garment and saves energy.

Pilling is common in wool knits due to the rubbing of fibers. Remove pills with a cashmere comb or by gently loosening them by hand to keep your knitwear looking new.

Fold your knits when not in use to prevent stretching and deformation. After washing, do not wring or twist; instead, roll in a towel to remove excess water and lay flat to dry with a towel underneath.

To keep knitwear in pristine condition, air and wear regularly. If stored for a while, unfold and shake to prevent moths. Clean knits before storing for summer in an airtight container with natural moth repellents like dried lavender or cedar wood. This routine keeps your knitwear safe year-round.
